in 1965 and 1966, Shelby installed this reinforcement bracket at the firewall to stiffen the area where the export brace connected to the firewall. This steel bracket, uses a different 4 bolt pattern than what was already in place for stock shock tower braces on the Mustang.
By using this plate, a Shelby "Even Spaced" export brace must be used.
