The factory installed these floor pan reinforcements as part of the GT and High-Performance dual exhaust package. The stock Mustang floor pan was not strong enough to support the heavier weight of the dual exhaust, resulting in metal fatigue over time. After installation, these plates will prevent floor pan warping and possible failure.
Classic Tube's reinforcement plates are the same gauge metal as the factory originals and are pre-drilled for the hanger stud brackets. To provide concours originality, they are exact reproductions of the Ford factory stampings.
Classic Tube has gone to incredible lengths to provide the exact, original details of these plates, including the same factory stamping creases along the edges. Unlike other replacement floor pan reinforcements, Classic Tube's product is manufactured in the U.S.A. with U.S. materials to exact specifications.
