This is a Concours correct reproduction shaker base for 1969-1970 Mustangs equipped with the 390-428CJ-428SCJ Big Block FE Engine. Unlike the C9ZZ9600SSMSB metal "Not Concours" base, this has the correct snorkel hole, oil breather fitting and support stud like th originals.
This base will also work on MOST Small Block Ford engined cars, but will require a carburetor spacer to raise the shaker to the right height. Some Small Block intake manifolds re-locate the carburetor so it no longer lines up properly with the cutout in the hood! Please compare your carburetor location to that of a stock configuration to ensure this will properly work with your Small Block application.
