This Hybrid U-Joint is a cross between a 1310 (1-1/16") cap on one axis, and a 1330 (with either a 1-1/16" or 1-1/8") cap on the other. The yokes coming out of your small-block Mustang with an 8" rear should have the 1310 spacing with 1-1/16" caps. The yokes coming out of your big-block Mustangs with a 9" rear "usually" have the larger 1330 spacing with the same 1-1/16" caps. When you swap in a 9" rear into your small-block Mustang, you need this Hybrid U-Joint to adapt the 1310 end of your driveshaft to the 1330 yoke in your new differential. However, some 9" differentials that came out of trucks or later cars used a slightly larger 1-1/8" diameter cap in their 1330 yokes instead of the 1-1/16" commonly used in the 1960s. Make sure you measure the differential end yoke size to see if you need the 1-1/16" or the 1-1/8" inch caps. Its only 1/16"..... so make sure!
