These Fuel Filler Necks are custom bent units that allow you to fit a 22 Gallon fuel tank from a 1970 Mustang into a 1965-1968 Mustang. Those 65-68 Mustangs came from the factory with a 16 Gallon tank which limits their range. The bottom half of the gas tanks in the 1970/22 gallon tanks are identical to the earlier ones, but they are a few inches taller on the INSIDE of the trunk. When you switch tanks, the fill-up tube spout on the larger tanks ends up in a different location and your old fill-up tube no does not line up. These Conversion Necks make up for the mis-match and line everything up so you can use the stock rubber collar and end up with a factory looking install. Unfortunately, they don't make one of these for the 1969 Mustangs yet.
