Mustangs and Shelbys came from the factory with Burtex trunk mats. Burtex is a slightly padded material with a stiff textured surface that provided insulation and sound deadening. It came in either a Plaid or Speckled pattern, depending on the year. The material used is very expensive to produce, so these trunk mats cost much more that the felt-backed vinyl mats we also sell. If you are looking to restore a high dollar car to its original condition, then you should spend the bug bucks and get a Burtex trunk mat.
