If you don't have a really nice used heat shield, this reproduction is a great copy of the 1970-1973 Group 24, 22 AND 27 battery heat shield. All 1970-1973 Mustangs with any V8 engine received this shield. When using this with a Group 24 battery, the shield needs to be cut down to fit, which is what they did in the Ford factories. All V8 Mustangs had these when they were new, but very few restorers go to that high level of restoration and install one of these. They are crazy expensive, and double the cost on their 67-69 counterparts.... but these have the proper D0OB-10A682-A part number on them.
