Premium 1965-1968 Stainless Steel 3/8" Gas Tank Sending Unit. We sell many different variants of sending units, but just like the original crappy Ford units, some of them are inaccurate. They work fine enough, and tell you roughly how much fuel you have, and will work well as you start to run low but you may only see your gauge at 3/4 full after a fill up. These Premium sending units combine the fit and external look of the original Mustang sending units, but have more modern internal components that read more accurately. In the 1980’s Ford started using new ceramic circuit board rheostats and foam floats in all their gas tank sending units so why not bring this more dependable technology to the 60s?
- The ceramic circuit board rheostat will not corrode in ethanol and is resistant to sludge build up from old fuel in cars that sit for months.
- Modern foam float that will never leak.
- The stainless steel structure is rust resistant to the core unlike plated steel that can easily corrode in ethanol.
- Includes an ethanol resistant “O” ring and locking ring.
