Use this spacer plate when using an original V8 factory bellhousing and stock clutch linkages but converting to 1985-1993 T5 5-speed transmission. This will bolt to the stock bellhousing, and the T5 transmission bolts to this plate. Includes the required conversion hardware. This T5 adapter plate is designed to install a late model T5 5 Speed Transmission on to your 65-73 Mustang with a 6 bolt bell housing. Ford used a 5 bolt bellhousing on earlier Ford cars from 1962-1965 with a 260 V8 or the very early 289 Mustangs. In late 1964, Ford switched to a 6 bolt bellhousing pattern for all models and continued with that pattern until 1995. This will NOT fit a 1964 1/2 - early 1965 bellhousing, just the late 1965+ ones. The adapter plate installs between the T-5 transmission and the early model transmission bellhousing.

Special Notes:

This adapter only works with the standard 1985-1993 T-5 or the 1985-1993 World Class Borg Warner T5 Transmission. On 1994-up transmissions, the input shafts is too long and will not work with this conversion kit

Customers have told us that 1 hole is required to be drilled in the adapter plate and 2 holes to be drilled into the bell housing to make this work. Other customers deny this??
